Though it is called a garbage disposal, there are some things, however much you know that they are garbage, which you should keep out of it. Shrimp Shells - Bad, plus they stink.
Rice & Noodles - This one is a surprise to most people, but its a starch will give your garbage disposal indigestion.
So, what can you put in there? Anything that is easily chopped up and blended is fine. Apply some common sense and follow the golden rule - “If in doubt, keep it out”.

- Whenever it is on, make sure the water is running too.
- Occasionally put ice in there as it will scrape off food items stuck to the side of the tube.

Homeowner’s insurance usually means fire or damage insurance to the majority of homeowner’s. This is actually known as “casualty” insurance and does not address the contingency that the homeowner will lose his home simply due to the fact that he can no longer pay for it, due to other forces outside of his control, such as death or disability.
This kind of critical insurance is known as mortgage life or mortgage disability insurance. It is more likely that you will become disabled and not be able to pay for your mortgage than it is that your home will be consumed by fire.
Lenders will usually offer a mortgage life policy when you sign up for a mortgage. But you can also get your own mortgage insurance with your own personal insurance policy. Usually, shopping around for the best insurance will make sure that you will find the policy that works best for you and has the lowest cost.
Individual policies can offer a wider range of choices that the bank’s policy probably cannot. The bank policy will be a “boiler plate” policy, with only the principal amount (the amount of your mortgage or mortgage payments) changing. If you wanted any changes, this would not be offered to you.
If you would like to have a policy for more than the amount of the home loan, your bank will not offer this; they only cover the amount of the mortgage. If you wanted to add kind of comfort margins, this would not be permitted. In addition, you cannot customize the policy in any other way, for example by adding a waiver of premium to the policy for the period you cannot pay, or increase the amount of the policy.
This is one of the important reasons to shop for your own policy: the amount of control you have over it. Policies bought through your lender are group policies, and there is not a conversion feature and no cash value such as exist on an individual insurance policy.
A final warning is that banks are not in the business of insuring, they are in the business of making loans. As in most cases, you should work with an expert in the field and when it comes to insurance, the experts are the insurance agents.
